Microsoft recently announced a new Xbox-branded Mastercard available to Xbox Insiders and matching dollars charged with points that can be redeemed for games or other services.
The card will be offered through Barclays Bank and comes in one of six different designs featuring a variety of Xbox logos in different colors.
Cardholders will earn a “card point” for any purchases charged on the card.
If members use the card to purchase items through the Microsoft Store, they will earn 5x the dollars spent.
Similarly, if you use your card to subscribe to Netflix or Disney+ or order food via DoorDash or GrubHub you will earn 3x the dollars spent.
1500 card points will earn $15 in purchase power.
With the first charge on the card, users get 5000 points as well as a free three-month subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate which runs $16.99 per month and gives access to hundreds of games.
The credit card is similar to a card offered by Sony for its PlayStation platform.
“We’ve heard feedback from the Xbox community that they want more ways to get value for their purchases,” said Dave McCarthy, CVP Xbox Player Services.
Xbox Insiders in the US can apply for the card through the Xbox Insider Club and will be available in the fall of 2023.
